Stock Photography and Legal Issues

Part 3:
1. A model release is sort of like a liability waiver, its a legal release signed by the subject of a photograph granting permission to publish the photograph in one form or another
2. So that others know that it is your photo
3. Because you will not be allowed to publish the image or claim of the image
4. Save space to put text

Part 4:

5.  Because you wont have to share any of the money from the photography.
6.  Because you get what you paid for and another designer may pick the same image.
7.
To take your own photos
8. The rights managed protects what you see in the photo and royalty free means you dont have to share any of the money you make from the photo

Part 5:

9. I never thought about getting a signature from a model for photography.

Still Life Preview

Step 2:
1. Fruit, flowers and people
2. The photographer must consider the way the subject is set up. In still Life photos the subject must look nice around the background. You also must consider the background. Also there cant be any movement in the photo.
3. Because lighting is a very important part in still life photos because it helps put emphasis on the subject.
4. Because sometimes you want it to be a lighter photo.

Step 3:

1.
2. You can take a photo of certain things to advertise.
3. Marketers
4.  Commercial photographers should consider shooting stock photography because it is a way to make money off of different people wanting to sell a certain item.

Step 4:

1. Different types of flowers
2. A white curved background to avoid edges.
3. The meaning of flowers in a still life painting depends upon the type of flower or condition

RAW vs. JPEG

Part 1
3 Advantages of Raw
    1. Highest level of quality
    2. Get better detail in image
    3. Professionals would suggest using raw
1 Disadvantage
    1. Raw images have not yet been processed.

Part 2

1. Write your own one sentence definition of what a JPEG file is.
Very small files for images use for emails or websites. Its often used on digital camera memory cards.
2. Write your own one sentence definition of what a RAW file is.
Much bigger files that are not yet processed, not ready to be printed or edited.
Where raw varies is that is doesn't process

Part 3

Capturing the images:
Where
Where RAW varies is that it doesn’t process the photo within the camera, it captures all the data and retains all the information without compressing it, preserving all the information in all the pixels within the image.

Part 4

RAW - Whenever you know you might be editing it later, whenever you don't know what type of file you want it to be it would be good to be able to edit it to a different file when you know, also whenever you want to be able to put it in lightroom.JPEG - Whenever you want the picture to take up as least space as you can, whenever you know you will want the image to be a JPEG.
